Canadiens Teammates Call Carey Price 'The Best They've Ever Seen'

The Montreal Canadiens are moving on to face the Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after a performance for the ages against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Habs were able to come back from down 3-1 in the series as they were led by goaltender Carey Price, who was making it look easy. While his teammates have seen the 'Price Show' numerous times over the past decade, some went as far as calling this his best ever.

Price used the series against the Leafs to remind everyone he's still elite. He stopped 30 of 31 shots in Game 7 including several 10-bell saves. Habs forward Brendan Gallagher who opened the scoring in the winner take all game had some high praise for his netminder after the game:

We gave him one goal, it was almost like we knew it was going to be enough. It's a different level of confidence when you know Price is back there - especially in these elimination games. He's the best I've ever seen.

Per Sportsnet, Price is now 22-10 with a 2.00 GAA and a .929 save %, including three shutouts when facing elimination across all competition, which includes the international stage. He's also 7-2 with a 1.54 GAA and a .944 save% with two shutouts in winner-take-all games. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't - Carey Price is still the best goaltender in the world. Next series he'll look to knock off the Winnipeg Jets and the reigning Vezina trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck in what's setting up to be a battle in the crease. Word to the wise, take the under.
