Islanders Fans Go Crazy, Throw Beer Cans on the Ice After Game 6 OT Win
It was mayhem at the Coliseum on Wednesday night as the New York Islanders managed to keep their season alive with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6. Islanders fans took it away from there.
The fans decided to celebrate the victory and potentially the last game ever played at the Coliseum, by throwing empty beer cans onto the ice, and someone even threw a shoe. Right...who throws a shoe?
Not only did Islanders forward Anthony Beauvillier score the OT winner, he provided the quote of the playoffs:
Beauvillier: "Going into OT the building smelled like cigarettes, now it smells like beers."
