Lightning GM Gives Canadiens Price Hall of Fame Vote

Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois thinks if Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price retired today, he'd still be a hall-of-famer. And he's not wrong.

Regardless, is this the nice thing to say or perhaps some tire-pumping as we approach Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. BriseBois met with the media on Sunday and had this to say:

He's got a Hall of Fame career if he retires right now. That's just the reality.

Price has led Montreal through these entire playoffs and is playing some of the best hockey of his career. The 33-year-old has been an elite netminder since he day one in the league and so far these playoffs he's managed a .934 save percentage and a 2.02 goals against average.

While his regular season play has dipped a bit in recent years, Price has shown he's capable, healthy and ready to bring a Stanley Cup back to Montreal.
