After getting off to a shaky start as a Maple Leaf thanks to Mike Babcock, Spezza has found a home in Toronto which makes a ton of sense considering his roots. The 38-year-old was stellar for the Buds last season, playing up and down the lineup and making the most of his ice-time. He recorded 30 points in 54 games and another five more points in seven playoff games.
The Leafs have big decisions to make this offseason and these type of value contracts are going to go a long way for general manager Kyle Dubas.
