Report: St Louis Blues Shopping Vladimir Tarasenko
According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, the St Louis Blues are exploring a trade for winger Vladimir Tarasenko. The team appears to be looking to refresh their top-six forward group and Tarasenko appears set to be dealt.
The Russian sniper does have a full no-trade clause and has reportedly already been in contact with the team regarding some franchises he would accept playing for. One team to watch here is the Washington Capitals who have Evgeny Kuznetsov, and we brought you those rumors weeks ago.
Tarasenko has battled injuries throughout his career including a very serious shoulder injury that limited him to 34 games over the course of the past two seasons. He appeared in 24 games this past season, recording four goals and 10 assists. At his peak he was one of the most dynamic players in the league and whoever is trading for him is hoping he can get back to form.
The 29-year-old has two years left on his deal, paying him $7.5 million. Along with Washington, expect to see the Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings involved in the Tarasenko sweepstakes.
