Rumor: LA Kings Discussing Trade For Top-Six Forward
The NHL trade market is heating up as teams on the outside looking in at the Stanley Cup Playoffs are already focused on next season. The LA Kings and general manager Rob Blake are no different as the team is looking to re-tool their forward group. Turns out the trade discussions have begun and the Kings are looking to add top-six forwards to their group.
With expansion draft looming, there’s more trade discussion developing around the NHL. The LA Kings could be a big player this offseason. The Kings are hoping to acquire two top 6 forwards through trade or free agency.

As Darren Dreger points out, the expansion draft along with a flat salary cap are going to influence the trade market tremendously. This summer is going to be one of the busiest ever when it comes to transactions and the Kings are setting themselves up to be dead smack in the middle of it.
Blake is currently having discussions with several teams and is believed to be involved with the St Louis Blues regarding Vladimir Tarasenko and the Buffalo Sabres regarding Jack Eichel and/or Sam Reinhart. All three players are headed for a change of scenery and if you asked them, they'll probably be ok heading to the beaches of California.
