Tyler Toffoli Wonders Why Nobody Thinks Canadiens Can Win The Stanley Cup
The Montreal Canadiens punched their ticket to the 'final four' of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a convincing sweep of the Winnipeg Jets. The Habs have now won seven games in a row and are rolling. Forward Tyler Toffoli scored the OT winner in Game 4 on Monday and Tuesday mentioned he can't believe how many people doubt the Habs.
According to Sportsnet's Eric Engles, Toffoli had this to say about the critics:
It kind of feels like nobody believes in us. The only people we have are ourselves and our fans, which clearly - with the small amount of fans in the building it sounded a lot more than what it was - are behind us, and our friends and family. We're sticking together. We're playing as one, and we're winning games and having fun.
The Canadiens are playing an absolute complete game, scoring, defending and goaltender Carey Price has turned back the clock. The Habs are on pace to set an NHL record for longest streak of play without trailing in the playoffs and are awaiting the winner of the Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights series for their next round opponent.
One things for sure, you can't say these guys aren't having any fun, and it's led by general manager Marc Bergevin...
