Vegas Head Coach Blames Fleury's Mistake for Game 3 Loss
The Vegas Golden Knights are down 2-1 to the Montreal Canadiens and head coach Peter DeBoer thinks his goaltender's mistake in the third period was the reason. Golden Knights netminder Marc-Andre Fleury had a huge gaffe which lead to the Habs tying goal in the third-period.
Fleury mishandled a dump-in behind the net and Canadiens forward Josh Anderson took advantage and buried the puck into the empty-net. There was 1:55 left and it was now 2-2, and DeBoer thinks the momentum of the game changed and his team was doomed from there.
DeBoer had this to say to the media after the game:
Those type of events are tough to recover from. I didn't think we were poor in overtime but there's no doubt that carried over.
