Video: Islanders Fans Chant 'New York Saints' Mocking Boston Bruins HC

The New York Islanders have one of the league's most spirited fanbases and during Game 6 on Wednesday night against the Boston Bruins, they put on a performance for the ages. Chants of 'New York Saints' broke out and as head coach Barry Trotz puts it, the building was deafening.

Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum was an absolute mood for Game 6 as the atmosphere was electric and the building was rocking. Trotz had this to say after the game on their home-ice advantage:

What a great atmosphere. I was saying just before we came on here (that) it was deafening. I couldn't hear anything out there. I had some white noise for a while there, so that's fantastic

These chants broke out because of Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy's comments regarding how the refs were giving the Islanders the preferred treatment. The comments ended up costing Cassidy $25,000 as the NHL fined him for his remarks.

As for the Islanders, they will play all of their remaining playoff games at the Coliseum before moving into a new building next season, UBS Arena at Belmont Park.
