Video: John Tavares Talks About Corey Perry Hit, Memory Loss & Feeling Fortunate


Toronto Maple Leafs captain John Tavares met with the media on Wednesday and admitted he does not remember the hit that knocked him out of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Tavares reiterates he has no hard feelings towards Corey Perry, and has now looked back and watched the play. One thing he noted was his disappointment in the broadcasting, showing the replay over and over again when his family was watching. 

The Leafs weren't able to get much going in Game 1 after Tavares went down, as the scary scene hit the players pretty hard. The team ended up bouncing-back nicely to win games 2,3,4, but as we know weren't able to close things out.
