Video: Lucky Bounce Helps Casey Cizikas Score Game 2 OT Winner

Casey Cizikas makes up one-third of the New York Islanders grind line and in overtime he decided he was going to call 'game'. All Boston Bruins defender Jeremy Lauzon wanted to do was go d-to-d with a pass and sure enough it hit a teammate's skate and gave Cizikas a breakaway from center ice. The rest is history and the series is now tied 1-1.

I knew that D-man was going to be tracking me hard. I just wanted to get a shot off, and I was able to beat him. It’s been a real long time. You’re just trying to do the right things in overtime. Be in the right spot. I was lucky for that puck to pop off in the middle there, and give me an opportunity to get that one.

Cizikas is looking forward to getting back in front of his home fans as the Islanders will be increasing capacity to 12,000 fans for the second round after hosting 9,000 fans for Game 6 of the first-round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

It was a tough night for the Bruins' Lauzon as earlier in the game he had a puck go in off his skate to tie the game 1-1. Then only four minutes later goaltender Tuukka Rask swiped a puck into the net with his glove after making a save. It was obvious from puck drop on the Bruins were going to make things difficult on themselves.
