2 Teams Who Could Sign UFA Jaden Schwartz
The St Louis Blues are hoping to make some big changes to their forward group next season and have some internal decisions to make. The team has a long list of pending free agents and one name to watch is Jaden Schwartz. The long-time Blue is due a new contract, and some rumblings have surfaced saying the team will let him test the open market. If he makes it there, interest will be high from other teams, and Schwartz will have some options.
2 Teams Who Are Favorites to Sign Jaden Schwartz
Los Angeles Kings: The Kings know Schwartz very well from the western conference and general manager Rob Blake is trying to add another left-winger for his top-six. Last season with the Blues, Schwartz scored eight goals and 21 points in 40 games. The knock on him is that he's battled some injuries throughout his career, but expect teams to take a gamble on him this summer and the Kings could very well win the sweepstakes.
Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers are desperate for secondary scoring and Schwartz could easily slide into either of the team's top-two lines. Again, another western conference team who is very familiar with the player and could potentially offer in the neighborhood of a three-year deal. At 29-years-old, he's smack in the middle of his prime and the Oilers would hope playing with Connor McDavid would go a long way to getting back to scoring almost 30-goals a season. It's all going to come down to money and if the Blues let Schwartz walk, expect to see Edmonton in the mix.
