2 Teams Who Should Sign Blake Coleman
Blake Coleman is one win away from obtaining his second Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The third-line forward has been an integral piece of the team since being traded there last season. However, with the Lightning notoriously being known for having no cap space, Coleman will be hitting the market this off-season. He will have plenty of takers, as he is a very effective two-way forward who plays with a bit of an edge. Oh, and he is famous for his clutch diving goals, too.
These two teams could be great fits for the 29-year-old.
Carolina Hurricanes: The Carolina Hurricanes are going to need to sign a top-nine forward this off-season. It has been established that Warren Foegele and Jordan Martinook both want out of Carolina. Coleman would be a great addition because of his immense playoff experience. He also would be able to play on either wing or center for them. Therefore, the Hurricanes would have a lot to work with by adding him.
Vancouver Canucks: The Canucks have a very solid top-six forward group, but the talent quickly falls off from there. They are going to buyout at least one of their bad contracts this off-season, so money will be available. Coleman could be their new third-line center, which would be an immediate upgrade over what they have. He also would give them a proven penalty killer and could even slot on their power play, too.
