2 Teams Who Should Trade For Pavel Buchnevich

Pavel Buchnevich is an interesting player who is potentially on the move, according to Frank Seravalli. He is coming off a career-best season that saw him put up 48 points in 54 games. This kind of production will lead to many teams being interested in his services. Yet, one thing to keep in mind is that he is eligible to be an unrestricted free agent next off-season if he is extended through arbitration. Therefore, any team that trades for him should try to lock him up long-term.

Here are two teams that could be good fits for the winger.

St. Louis Blues: With the Rangers being on Vladimir Tarasenko's trade list, Buchnevich could potentially be a player who goes the other way. This would allow the Blues to bring in a winger who is capable of producing similar offensive totals. Yet, getting him in a different deal would be great, too. They may lose both Mike Hoffman and Jaden Schwartz to free agency, so he could be a nice replacement if needed.

Detroit Red Wings: The Red Wings have a lot of money to work with. Perhaps they could benefit from calling about Buchnevich. They were one of the worst offensive teams this season, as their leading scorer was defenseman Filip Hronek. He ended the year with 26 points. A top of line of Jakub Vrana, Dylan Larkin and Buchenevich certainly could produce well offensively, too. They would benefit adding a skilled player to help their rebuild move forward.
