3 Moves The Nashville Predators Should Make This Summer

The Nashville Predators have made some major changes this off-season already. They traded Ryan Ellis to the Philadelphia Flyers, moved Viktor Arvidsson to the Los Angeles Kings and Pekka Rinne retired. They also lost underrated forward Calle Jarnkrok to the Seattle Kraken in the Expansion Draft. It seems that the Predators are now in a bit of retooling period by losing some longtime players.

Here are three more moves they should make this summer.

Re-Sign RFA Juuse Saros: Re-signing Juuse Saros is a real necessity. He had an amazing year with the Predators this season, as he sported a 21-11-1 record with a 2.28 goals against average and .927 save percentage. He is still just 26-years-old, so he has plenty of time left in his prime, too. Therefore, bringing him back should be a no-brainer.

Sign Backup Goalie: With Rinne's retirement, the Predators do need to bring in a backup goalie. There are many options for them to pick from, so this should not be too big of a challenge for them. Some guys they could look to bring in are James Reimer, Jaroslav Halak and David Rittich, for example. Yet, that is just the tip of the iceberg of what is available at this said time.

Re-Sign UFA Mikael Granlund: Although the Predators have been making changes to their roster, one UFA that they should bring back is Mikael Granlund. In 51 games this season, the 29-year-old had 13 goals and 27 points. He's cemented himself as an important part of the top-six and also can play both the wing and center. Losing another forward of his caliber will certainly hurt them.

Honorable Mention: The Predators are also reportedly interested in Ryan Getzlaf. At the right price, he could also be a nice addition.
