3 Potential Destinations for Zach Parise
The Minnesota Wild announced they bought out veteran forward Zach Parise on Tuesday and now Parise turns his attention to July 28th, when free agency kicks off. There's going to be a number of teams interested in his services and today we take a look at three potential destinations.
3 Teams Who Will Have Interest in Parise
New York Islanders: It's no secret Parise has been almost traded to the Islanders for Andrew Ladd a few times now. With general manager Lou Lamoriello not having to give up any assets makes this a whole other story. The two have a strong connection and one that may bring Parise to long-island. The team could also use some more secondary scoring so it appears to be a perfect storm.
Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers will be in the market for cheap wingers this offseason and Parise could fit in nicely. It's all going to depend if he winter in Edmonton, but considering he spent the past decade in Minnesota, he should be fine. Last season Dominik Kahun was supposed to be the perfect winger for Leon Draisaitl, perhaps this summer it becomes Parise.
Los Angeles Kings: The Kings are in the market for more top-six forwards and Jonathan Quick and Dustin Brown's buddy Parise might be able to help fill the void. While Parise had a down season last year with 18 points in 45 games, the previous two seasons he scored 25 and 28 goals. Perhaps he's still got some juice in those soon-to-be 37-year-old legs, and you have to think morale would be high after going from Minny to California. Keep an eye on the Kings, they make a ton of sense.
