3 Teams Who Could Trade for Matthew Tkachuk
The Matthew Tkachuk trade rumors have been flying ever since ex-NHLer Shane O'Brien stirred the pot announcing he wants out Calgary and prefers to play for the St Louis Blues. While there's likely interest from the Blues, there's going to be other teams who want a crack at acquiring the pesky forward.
3 Teams Who Will Have Interest in Acquiring Tkachuk
Pittsburgh Penguins: Pens President of Hockey Operations Brian Burke loves this player and knows him very well from their days together in Calgary. The team has Jake Guentzel who they could offer in their package and provide some scoring in Tkachuk's absence for the Flames. Playing with Sidney Crosby would be a decent change of scenery...
Carolina Hurricanes: The 'Canes have some money to spend this offseason and while they need a backup goalie, they also need some help on the wing. Tkachuk would be a great fit for Vincent Trocheck's line and would give Carolina some much needed sandpaper. The Flames could ask for a package centered around Teuvo Teravainen and Martin Necas.
New York Rangers: The Rangers are a team to watch this offseason as their new coach wants players who love to work hard. The team is loaded with young talent and have lots to offer the Flames. Tkachuk would be a huge upgrade to their left-wing position and would give the Rangers some scary talent at the top of their lineup.
