3 Teams Who Should Sign RHD Zach Bogosian

Zach Bogosian is an unrestricted free agent this summer after spending one season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The veteran defenseman hits the open market after making $1 million last season and should have several teams interested after a solid campaign in 2020-21.

3 Teams Who Should Sign Bogosian Next Season

Pittsburgh Penguins: The Penguins are trying hard this summer to get more tougher to play against by adding size and toughness. Bogosian fits the bill and the Penguins also will have a need on the right-side of their defense as Cody Ceci is expected to walk. Another one-year deal is likely in the cards here but if Bogosian gets another shot to win the Stanley Cup, you can count him in.

Toronto Maple Leafs: Word is Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas has interest but it remains to be seen if 'Bogo' wants to return. He appeared in 45 games last season for the Leafs, recording four points and battled a little bit of injury trouble after smashing head first into the boards mid-season. The Leafs need right-handed defensemen and will do what they can to convince the physical defenseman to sign another cheap one-year deal.

Winnipeg Jets: Bogosian could go back to a familiar site as the Jets are desperate for help on their blue line. They won't have a ton of money to spend so a value add like this makes a ton of sense. The New York native spent four seasons in Winnipeg and three more prior with the franchise in Atlanta, he could go back to where it all began this summer.
