3 Teams Who Should Trade For Tyler Bertuzzi

Tyler Bertuzzi is a name being talked about as potentially being on the move. The 25-year-old winger is a restricted free agent and arbitration-eligible. If the Red Wings elect to go this route, he will have the opportunity to be an unrestricted free agent next off-season. Therefore, there is risk signing him for just the year, as he could freely leave the team as soon as its over. When seeing as how Bertuzzi is a scoring threat and plays the game extremely physically, the Red Wings would be able to get a nice return for him.

If Bertuzzi is officially made available, these three teams should be calling.

Philadelphia Flyers: With Jakub Voracek's time in Philly coming to a close, they need to bring in a replacement. Bertuzzi certainly would be a nice one for them. He would fit their team identity, as he plays with great tenacity. More importantly, though, he would also give them a player who is capable of producing solid offense. Nolan Patrick would likely have to be the first piece coming back in a potential deal. More of course would need to be added.

Los Angeles Kings: The Los Angeles Kings are looking for another top-six winger and obviously Bertuzzi fits that description. The Kings have an array of solid prospects they can send the other way in a trade, so they would have a good shot if interested. The fact that he is young also should intrigue them, as they are still working on their rebuild. They also have the ability to extend Bertuzzi long-term because of their salary cap room.

St. Louis Blues: The St. Louis Blues could potentially lose three key wingers this off-season. Mike Hoffman and Jaden Schwartz have expiring contracts, while Vladimir Tarasenko has requested a trade. Bertuzzi is somebody who they should be calling about to help fix these holes. The Blues are hoping to remain competitive moving forward, but will be in real trouble if they fail to add a top-six winger this off-season.
