More Trades On The Way From the Arizona Coyotes
The Arizona Coyotes have been super busy lately unloading a bunch of players off their roster as they try to replenish on prospects and don't expect the action to be slowing down anytime soon from the desert.
According to sources the team is creeping closer to trading veteran sniper Phil Kessel and have been busy fielding trade offers for goaltender Darcy Kuemper and young center Christian Dvorak. Out of anyone on the Coyotes current roster, Kessel is the most likely to be moved, and soon.
The biggest thing with the upcoming Kessel trade is the fact he was just paid his $5 million signing bonus from the team and is only on the books for $1 million of actual cash next season. It's peanuts for teams and all that has done is drive the price WAY up. The 'Yotes now have 10 draft picks for the 2022 draft including five second-round picks, it's likely they end up with 13-15 picks total before its all said and done.
As for Kessel, last season he scored 20 goals for the 12th time and has shown with his two Stanley Cups and his 81 points in 96 postseason games, he's a big time player who loves big time moments. The next big thing he will be apart of, is a deal out of Arizona.
