Boston Bruins Expected To Bring Back Longtime Center

According to Kirk Luedeke of New England Hockey Journal, the Boston Bruins are on the verge of re-signing pending free agent David Krejci. The terms of the deal have yet to be finalized or announced.

This news come after the team already re-signed Taylor Hall and Brandon Carlo to extensions. Although Krejci is 35-years-old, he is still a very important piece of the team's top-six. They would have a lot of trouble finding a player of his ability to take over the spot through free agency, too. In 51 games this season, he had eight goals and 44 points. His presence on the power play will be greatly appreciated yet again, too.

Krejci has spent the entirety of his 15-year career with the Bruins. In 962 games, he has 215 goals and 730 points. If he remains healthy this season, he will hit the 1,000-game plateau with ease.
