Carolina Hurricanes Add A Veteran Defenseman
The Carolina Hurricanes have signed defenseman Ian Cole to a one-year, $2.9 million contract.
Cole is the third defenseman that the Hurricanes have added so far during their crazy off-season. He likely will be slotted on their bottom-pair and could work nicely with offensive defenseman, Tony DeAngelo. Cole is noted more for being a defensive defenseman who is very dependable in his own zone. He also is not afraid to throw his body around and block shots, so he should become a fan favorite in Carolina quickly.Two-time Stanley Cup champ Ian Cole is Raleigh-bound!

In 54 games this season between the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild, Cole had a goal and eight total points.
We will see how Cole plays in Carolina, but this looks like a nice signing for them at first glance.
