Dallas Stars Sign Miro Heiskanen To Eight-Year Extension
This is a massive signing for the Stars, as Heiskanen has already developed into a top-two defenseman at the NHL level. He is a very effective two-way defenseman who averaged roughly 25 minutes per game this season. In 55 total games, the 21-year-old also had eight goals and recorded 27 points. He plays in all situations and shows the poise of a grizzled veteran. Sometimes this makes it hard to believe that he is still so young.Miro Heiskanen extension with the Stars:

Total: $67.6 M ($8.45 M AAV)
The beautiful thing about this signing is that Heiskanen will stay in his prime throughout its entirety. He is only getting better with each season that passes, so Dallas should have a real win on their hands with this extension.
This also was the biggest priority the Stars had this off-season, so it is nice to see it completed. Congrats to Heiskanen for getting his big payday.
