The specifics of the deal have yet to be released but it's rumored to be a two to three year deal worth roughly $8.5-9 million a season. Last season one of the greatest goal scorers of all-time potted 24 goals in 45 games and ended the season with 42 points.
OV can still get it done and he wants to play as long as he can as he's chasing the record books. The expectation has always been, one he breaks the record for most goals in a career, he will retire and play his last season or two in Russia.
We'll all have to wait and see before Wednesday, just how long Ovechkin has left in the NHL.
