The Oilers have been busy re-signing Tyson Barrie and Darnell Nurse and adding Duncan Keith, it was becoming more clearer a move was coming. Bear is a fan favorite and this move will not be a popular one among the fanbase.
The Hurricanes add Bear, Frederik Andersen and apparently Tony DeAngelo in three very different moves. As for Bear, he's a former fifth-round pick is a 24-year-old RHD who is due $2 million next season. In 2020-21 he recorded eight points in 43 games and his best season came the season before when he recorded 21 points in 71 games.
Foegele is a versatile winger who plays with speed and isn't afraid to muck it up. He'll fit in great on the team's third line and last season in Carolina recorded 20 points in 53 games and has potential to reach the 20 goal mark.
