Don't Expect Game 5 to be Postponed Because of Tampa Bay Tropical Storm

There's a tropical storm ongoing in Tampa Bay, however the NHL thinks the show must go on. According to multiple sources, the league has no plans to postpone Game 5 between the Lightning and the Montreal Canadiens.

The matchup is scheduled for Wednesday at 8pm ET and the Canadiens are coming in on a huge high after Josh Anderson was the overtime hero in Game 4 and kept the team's season alive. NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly has mentioned the league will continue to monitor things as the day goes and if they want to, the NHL could move the game and has some flexibility. It's just they have no interest and want to get this season wrapped up ASAP.

On Tuesday, the National Hurricane Center issued a hurricane warning for part of Florida's Gulf Coast with winds intensifying. All of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Montreal Canadiens, and other NHL personnel have already landed safely in the area. Tampa International Airport shut down at 5 p.m. ET and aimed to reopen Wednesday morning after evaluating the conditions.

The Canadiens will do their best to weather the storm on Wednesday night in hopes of seeing another day.
