Jack Eichel and the Buffalo Sabres "Nearing Resolution"

Buffalo Sabres and their captain Jack Eichel have been at odds for the past couple seasons after it's been a struggle for the team to win hockey games. Then Eichel hurt his neck and lost trust in the Sabres medical team and wanted to find his own medical advice. The team hated the idea but by the sounds of it a resolution is close.

Eichel admitted back in May there was a disconnect between him and the team on a number of things including the handling of his injury. He wanted to have surgery to repair the injury but the club forced him to try rehab first.

Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams admitted he's staying out of it and it's up to the medical staff what is best for Eichel's health. Eichel has missed the final two months of the season and finished the year appearing in 21 games. The 24-year-old scored twice and added 16 assists. So far in 375 NHL games, the former #2 overall pick has score 139 times and recorded 355 points.

Eichel's name has been linked to several teams while the Sabres try and find their captain a new home, including the Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild.
