Minnesota Wild Making Trade Offer for Jack Eichel

The Minnesota Wild have had interest in Buffalo Sabres Jack Eichel for quite some time, and now things are getting serious. General manager Bill Guerin created himself a boat load of cap space on Tuesday by buying out Ryan Suter and Zach Parise and now the GM turns his attention to Eichel.

The Wild have a ton of assets to dangle for the Sabres and it's going to be up to Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams if he's ok with the return. The Wild's offer is likely to start with at least one of their first round picks this draft, along with 2019 first-rounder Matthew Boldy and young defenseman Calen Addison.

The Sabres GM has made it clear he wants three or four major assets so it's going to be a steep price for Guerin but when you're desperate for a first-line center and one his available in the prime of his career, you pay the price.

While Eichel recently cut an interview and mentioned he'd eventually like to play for the Boston Bruins, it's the Minnesota Wild who could win the sweepstakes. Eichel's no-movement clause doesn't kick in until after next season, so he doesn't have much say in the matter, interview or not.
