Montreal Canadiens Sign Artturi Lehkonen To Extension
The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Artturi Lehkonen to a one-year, $2.3 million contract.
Lehkonen is a very effective bottom-six forward for the Canadiens, so it is nice that he will be returning this upcoming season. He is one of their most important penalty killers because of his strong defensive play and overall hard work ethic. With Phillip Danault signing with the Los Angeles Kings, his significance to the penalty kill will be even higher next season, too.The Canadiens have agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension with Artturi Lehkonen. #GoHabsGo https://t.co/g4pOr8rAIu

In 47 games this past season, the 26-year-old scored seven goals and recorded 13 points. He also scored the series clinching overtime goal against the Vegas Golden Knights that sent them to the Stanley Cup Final. This will forever be remembered by Montreal's fans.
In 338 career regular season games with the Canadiens, Lehkonen has scored 61 goals and 120 points.
