Welcome back, Wedgewall! https://t.co/J3fUEyOtdf
The 28-year-old appeared in 16 games for the Devils last season, recording a 3.11 GAA and a .900 SV%. Wedgewood was basically an afterthought when the season started New Jersey but with the new of newly signed Corey Crawford retiring, he was thrown into duty with starter Mackenzie Blackwood.
Wedgewood was a former 3rd round pick of the Devils, who only had 24 games of NHL experience under his belt before this past season, including spending time with the Arizona Coyotes and a previous stint with the Devils.
Look for Wedgewood to push for the backup position as don't rule the Devils going out and signing another goalie this summer for some internal competition.
