Philadelphia Flyers Sign Veteran Defenseman

Keith Yandle was bought out by the Florida Panthers and everyone knew it wouldn't take long for a new team to put pen to paper. Turns out it's the Philadelphia Flyers who have won the sweepstakes, as Yandle heads to play for a familiar face.

The iron man played in 56 games last season, recording 27 points and will be 36 years old when the season opens in October. Yandle is brought into Philly to replace Shayne Gostisbehere, and could certainly look nice on their power play alongside fellow newcomer Ryan Ellis.

Yandle has played 1032 NHL games to this point, recording 600 points. While things didn't end the way he liked in the Sunshine State, he now heads to the city of Brotherly love with open arms.
