Pittsburgh Penguins Sign Danton Heinen
The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Danton Heinen to a one-year, $1.1 million contract.
In 43 games this season with the Anaheim Ducks, the 26-year-old scored seven goals and 14 points. There is no denying that it was a down year for his standards, but he also was playing on a very weak offensive team. There is reason to believe that he can turn it around in Pittsburgh because they clearly will offer more support around him.The Penguins have signed forward Danton Heinen to a one-year contract.

Heinen will likely be utilized as a bottom-six forward in Pittsburgh and could potentially find his way on their second power play unit if he impresses at camp. He has shown offensively success previously, as he does have a 47-point campaign under his belt.
Nonetheless, this is simply a solid low-risk signing for the Penguins.
