Report: Bruins Are Not Interested In Vladimir Tarasenko

According to Andy Strickland, the Boston Bruins are not pursuing Vladimir Tarasenko. This is noteworthy, as the Bruins were one of the teams that he would have willingly accepted a trade to.

The Bruins may be looking to add some firepower to the right wing position this off-season. Jake DeBrusk did not work as the team's third-line right winger and Craig Smith could be more suitable in that role. Thus, a second-line right winger would be a welcomed addition for the Bruins. However, Tarasenko will not be their guy.

It does make sense that the Bruins aren't interested, though. Tarasenko is making $7.5 million in each of the next two seasons and has been injured a lot. In fact, over the last two seasons, he has only played a total of 34 games. Therefore, there is a lot of risk trading for him.

We will have to wait and see where Tarasenko ends up, as Boston once seemed like a potential favorite. Will more of his preferred destinations not be willing to trade for him, too?
