Report: Seattle Kraken to Select Veteran Forward from Pittsburgh Penguins

The Seattle Kraken have submitted their roster to the NHL and NHLPA and reports have surfaced the team is selecting forward Brandon Tanev from the Pittsburgh Penguins.

After signing both Jamie Oleksiak and Adam Larsson to their blueline, adding Tanev is assembling some tough hardnosed players for the Kraken. It's obvious they want a good mix of skill and hard work, and they will certainly be adding that in Tanev.

The Penguins forward has four more seasons left on his contract, paying him $3.5 million per. Last season in Pittsburgh the undrafted grinder recorded 16 points in 32 games and was on pace for a career best season. Tanev also has 32 games of Stanley Cup Playoff experience under his belt.

The Kraken officially announce their team at 8pm, but expect a ton of their players to be leaked at some point Wednesday.
