After signing both Jamie Oleksiak and Adam Larsson to their blueline, adding Tanev is assembling some tough hardnosed players for the Kraken. It's obvious they want a good mix of skill and hard work, and they will certainly be adding that in Tanev.
The Penguins forward has four more seasons left on his contract, paying him $3.5 million per. Last season in Pittsburgh the undrafted grinder recorded 16 points in 32 games and was on pace for a career best season. Tanev also has 32 games of Stanley Cup Playoff experience under his belt.
The Kraken officially announce their team at 8pm, but expect a ton of their players to be leaked at some point Wednesday.
