Rumor: Carey Price is Heading to the Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken are mulling over some big names on the NHL's unprotected list but there's none bigger than goaltender Carey Price. Considering all the connections to the team and to the area, and now with ownership's approval, it's becoming more and more likely Price is headed to Seattle.
This story continues to evolve and percolate. I'm told as #SeaKraken continue to investigate Price's injuries, ownership has given hockey ops the full green light to select Price if Francis sees fit - health concerns and all. There is zero doubt they're considering it. https://t.co/3DrIYxLO3b

Price grew up in British Columbia and his wife is from Washington State so heading west to play out the rest of his career could make a ton of sense. It's likely a small part of the reason Price asked the Canadiens to expose him and also to help them protect Jake Allen.
Price's health concerns appear to be front and center at the moment as it appears he's heading for knee surgery and is getting his hip looked after as well. The medical records are available to Seattle for most players, however Price isn't seeing the doctors until after the expansion draft.
Needless to say this was a MASSIVE gamble for Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin and it's becoming more likely it's not going to pay off. From all accounts, Price is headed to Seattle.
