Rumor: Los Angeles Kings Looking To Make Big Splash
The Los Angeles Kings may be making a big trade this week. According to Bruce Garrioch, they are willing to trade the 8th overall selection of this year's NHL Entry Draft.
The Kings already made one big splash this off-season when they acquired Viktor Arvidsson from the Nashville Predators. Yet, they only had to give up a second and third-round pick to get this done. With their first-round pick being this high, they certainly would want to land a top-of-the-line player in return.Told the Los Angeles Kings are open for business on their No. 8 selection in the draft. Give Rob Blake a call. #NHLDraft

The trade market does have some big names, such as Jack Eichel and Seth Jones. Either of them would be welcomed additions to their roster, as they would provide the Kings with real firepower. Yet, it also is important to note that an Eichel trade would require much more than just this pick. With their strong prospect pool, though, this shouldn't be much of a problem for them if they truly want him.
If the Kings do trade this pick, it is fair to assume that they are looking to move past their rebuilding stage. We now will have to wait and see if the pick is moved by this Friday.
