Rumor: Maple Leafs Zach Hyman Receives 10 Contract Offers
The Toronto Maple Leafs gave Zach Hyman permission to talk to other teams and it didn't take long for some action. Hyman is in talks with over 10 teams and has legitimate interest from the Edmonton Oilers, St Louis Blues Calgary Flames, Seattle Kraken, Vancouver Canucks, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins and Chicago Blackhawks.
Last season in 43 games the versatile winger put up 33 points and was on pace for a career season. Hyman's work ethic, ability to play in all situations and his character make him a perfect fit for a lot of teams looking to add to their top six.
St. Louis among those with legit interest in potential free agent Zach Hyman…lots of interest from a number of teams in Canada as well. Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary. I do believe Seattle could become a player as well. #stlblues #Cofred #Canucks #Oilers #Seakraken #Leafsforever

Hyman made $2.25 million last season and will likely see his annual salary creep over the $5 million mark. Belief is some teams are totally fine offering the max eight years as well, which is one of the reasons the Leafs are open to a sign and trade for the player. It not only allows for Hyman to max out his contract, general manager Kyle Dubas doesn't want to lose their first-line left-winger for nothing.
Sorry Leafs Nation, looks like Hyman is done in Toronto.
