Rumor: Mike Hoffman to Sign with the Montreal Canadiens
The news around the Montreal Canadiens hasn't been very positive of late, but it appears that could all be changing. Reports have surfaced suggesting Mike Hoffman is on the team's radar and could be signing a new contract with the Habs come July 28.
Expect Montreal to pick talks back up from last off-season with Mike Hoffman. Chose to sign with #stlblues over the #Gohabsgo even tho Montreal offered close to a million more dollars. STL has expressed interest in bringing him back.

The Blues appear to have a love hate relationship with Hoffman as he's been rumored to be traded since the day he arrived in St Louis. While he's a liability defensively, not many shoot the puck like Hoffman from the left side and the Canadiens could certainly use more of that next season.
Last season in St Louis, Hoffman scored 17 goals and recorded 36 points in 52 games and his best season came back in 2018-19 with the Florida Panthers when he lit the lamp 36 times. If the Habs are indeed losing Shea Weber and Carey Price, there's going to be tons of money to go around and Hoffman could be one of the beneficiaries.
