Rumor: Rugged Defenseman Signing for Two-Years in Vancouver

The Vancouver Canucks are trying to improve their hockey club for next season and are looking to bring in some fresh blood. One name that's surfaced as someone who should be signing in Vancouver on Wednesday is rugged defenseman Luke Schenn.

Schenn is a west coast Canadian kid so it was only a matter of time before he was playing for a team out that way. The past two seasons Schenn has been a Stanley Cup champion in Tampa Bay and shown flashes of strong play where he was tough to play against night in and night out.

Last season he appeared in 38 games recording four points, but Schenn's game is all about defense. He's always willing to muck it up with the other team and find those dirty areas. And if anyone ever needs a teammate to stick up for them, the 31-year-old is always game.

This could be an under the radar type of pick up for the Canucks and we're sure it's just nice for Canucks fans to see the team signing a player or two, as apposed to letting all their talent walk like in years past.
