Rumor: St Louis Blues to Lose Two Players to Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken hold their expansion draft on Wednesday night and also have their eyes set on July 28 when free agency begins. Turns out they like what they see from the St Louis Blues and could end up having a couple of ex-Blues on their roster for next season.
According to Elliotte Friedman the Kraken could be looking to select defenseman Vince Dunn with their pick and then also signing forward Jaden Schwartz on July 28 when the market opens. Dunn is a young mobile defenseman who has serious top-4 potential, meanwhile Schwartz and Kraken coach Dave Hakstol are very familiar with each other and the team is very interested in adding the left-winger.
Dunn is also on other team's radars including the Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars. Meanwhile Schwartz is likely to receive offers from the Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oilers.
The offseason madness has already begun, but once the Kraken select some players and start making side deals, the wild summer in the NHL will be upon us.
