Rumor: Vancouver Canucks Quickly Find Holtby's Replacement

The Vancouver Canucks were busy on Tuesday as the team bought out goaltender Braden Holtby and by the sounds of it, have a replacement lined up. Pierre LeBrun of TSN is reporting the team will be signing Jaroslav Halak on Wednesday.

Halak is 36 and will be coveted by a lot of teams. The goalie market is running wild and there's going to be a ton of movement. Halak will be joined by the likes of Braden Holtby, Martin Jones, Antti Raanta, Marc-Andre Fleury, and many others who will be switching teams. When it's all said and done it's likely 20 goalies change jerseys for next season.

Halak made $2.25 million last season and is likely to reach $3 million for next. He recorded a 2.52 GAA and a .905 save % last season, which is actually considered a down year for the netminder who has been lights out in Boston. Sounds like the lights are out on Halak returning to Bean Town and expect the Canucks to have something to do with that.
