Rumor: Zach Parise to Sign With New York Islanders
The Zach Parise sweepstakes are expected to end on July 28 and the team left standing is expected to be the New York Islanders.
UFA F Zach Parise, recently bought out by MIN, has some offers to consider. Likely to make a decision in next 24 hours. Parise did recently pay a visit to NYI. Obvious connection with NYI GM Lou Lamoriello.

As Bobby Mac reports, Parise was in New York recently to meet with his old pal Lou Lamoriello. The Islanders have been trying to acquire Parise for years and now get the perfect chance to bring him in on a cheap contract after his buy out from the Minnesota Wild.
The veteran sniper is slowing down a touch but can still put up points. Last season the 36-year-old recorded 18 points in 45 games and is coming off the previous season where he potted 25 goals in 69 games. In the right situation, Parise can get back to his 20-goal pace. The Islanders are looking to replace Jordan Eberle who ended up in Seattle, so perhaps Parise gets that chance. Sure sounds like he will.
