San Jose Sharks Bringing In Depth Forward
Ryan Suter and DAL; Zach Parise and NYI; Michael Bunting and TOR; David Savard and MTL; Jaden Schwartz and SEA; Tony DeAngelo and CAR; Jaro Halak, Luke Schenn and VAN; Jake McCabe and CHI; Andrew Cogliano and SJ; Zach Hyman and EDM; David Rittich and NSH. Many more to come.
Cogliano has spent the last three seasons with the Dallas Stars and primarily played in their bottom-six. In 54 games this season, the 34-year-old had five goals and recorded 11 points.
Although his offensive totals have gone down significantly since earlier in his career, he is still a productive player to have. He not only can be a decent penalty kill, but also has loads of experience. This will make him a great mentor for the young guys on the Sharks.
Overall, this is a low-risk signing and should not come with any true consequences.
