Seattle Kraken Make Free-Agent Splash
The Seattle Kraken are expected to be busy as free agency opens and one player who is headed west is forward Jaden Schwartz.
I would expect once finalized that Jaden Schwartz's multi-year deal in Seattle to be worth between $5M-$6M AAV, the Kraken having gone pretty far in talks with @BartlettHockey during the July 18-21 exclusive window@TSNHockey @TheAthletic

Schwartz has been rumored to be heading to Seattle ever since Dave Hakstol was named coach, the two go back and have a solid history together. Schwartz spent the past decade as a member of the St Louis Blues, including winning a Stanley Cup. He's a skilled winger with serious offensive instincts and a hockey IQ that's off the charts.
It's the first big signing up front for the Kraken who have loads of talent on defense, but not much as far as top-six forwards. Adding Schwartz on a multi-year deal changes that.
Last season with the Blues he recorded 21 points in 40 games and will look to get back to his 22 goal success and 60-point pace he was on in 2019-20. The Kraken aren't done, expect to see their name pop up a few times today.
