Seattle Kraken Select Forward From Toronto Maple Leafs
We hope you weren't expecting to wait until 8pm eastern to know the Seattle Kraken roster because the reports are flying in. The team has selected Jared McCann from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
His stay was short-lived in Toronto. The #SeaKraken will be selecting Jared McCann from the #Leafs.

The end result: Toronto traded prospect Filip Hallander and a 7th round pick to Pittsburgh to essentially protect their roster from Seattle.@DFOHockey
The young forward was acquired by the Leafs from the Pittsburgh Penguins last weekend and his time was short lived. Leafs management wanted to keep their roster in tact and paid a prospect and seventh-round pick to do so.
Kraken add McCann who is versatile, signed for next season at a very good cap hit of $2.94 million and heads to Seattle with a chance to be an impact top-six forward.
Sorry Leafs Nation, we hope you like Alexander Kerfoot, because you're likely going to see more of him next season and beyond.

Things Leafs fans didn’t show you: ESPN also rehearsed #SeaKraken taking Jared McCann (presumably among a few other candidates) and not just Alex Kerfoot. #LeafsForever
