Tampa Bay Lightning Sign Corey Perry to Multi-Year Deal
The Tampa Bay Lightning have made some noise on the second day of NHL free agency as they have signed veteran forward Corey Perry to a two-year contract. Kevin Weekes was the first to report the news.

At this point no salary was announced, but given the fact the Lightning only have and last season the 36-year-old Perry played with the Montreal Canadiens for $750,000, it's likely that number x two years.
Last season in Montreal Perry was rock solid, playing the role as pest and providing some secondary score. He finished the regular season with 21 points in 49 games and added another 10 points in 22 Stanley Cup Playoff games. It's obvious he made an impression on the Lightning who of course, beat the Canadiens in the Final.

Some wondered if he would return to Montreal, and according to Perry he made it known to Marc Bergevin he wanted to return. Looks like the feeling was not mutual.
