Taylor Hall Officially Signs Extension With The Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins have officially signed Taylor Hall to a four-year, $24 million extension. This major off-season task for them is officially completed.

Hall stated on multiple occasions that he wanted to stay in Boston, so it is not too surprising that it has finally come into fruition.

After the Bruins acquired Hall from the Buffalo Sabres, he quickly left an impact with the team. In 16 regular season games with the team, he had eight goals and 14 points. This clearly was enough for the Bruins to want to bring him back, and this ultimately seems like the correct choice.

Last off-season, the Sabres signed Hall to a one-year contract and he made $8 million. Now, his cap hit is only $6 million and the Bruins get to have his services for multiple seasons. He is still a first-line talent when he's on his game, but with the Bruins, he will continue to be on their second-line because of Brad Marchand. This seems to work well with Hall, as he does not have to feel pressure to be the main guy upfront.

Nonetheless, this is simply a good deal for both parties.
