The Boston Bruins Sign Bottom-Six Forward

The Boston Bruins are continuing to add depth. They have signed Tomas Nosek to a two-year, $3.5 million contract. He will cost $1.75 million on the cap each season.

Nosek is known for being quite active in the physical part of the game. This is something that the Bruins certainly are in need of, so he should be a nice addition for them. He also has been noted for his strong ability at the face-off dot, so he likely will be centering their fourth-line moving forward. He is the replacement of Sean Kuraly and also is coming at a cheaper price.

Yet, he also is coming off of a strong year offensively. In 38 games, the 28-year-old scored eight goals and registered 18 points. If he can replicate those totals in the bottom-six for Boston, this will be a real steal for them.

Nonetheless, this is a good move and leaves the Bruins with just under $10 million of cap space.
