The Buffalo Sabres Sign Underrated Forward

The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Vinnie Hinostroza to a one-year, $1.05 million contract.

In 26 games this season between the Florida Panthers and Chicago Blackhawks, Hinostroza had four goals and 12 points in 26 games played. However, every single one of his points came during his 17-game stint with the Blackhawks. He was one of the most productive players for Chicago once he arrived. If he can play this way for Buffalo, this could be a nice steal for them.

Hinostroza is probably best suited in a bottom-six role, but he likely will have more opportunities to thrive on the rebuilding Sabres. He has shown that he can contribute well offensively in spurts, so perhaps he could even be utilized on their power play.

At the end of the day, this is simply a nice depth signing by the Sabres.
