The New York Islanders Are Re-Signing This Winger

According to Elliotte Friedman, the New York Islanders are re-signing winger Kyle Palmieri.

The Islanders acquired Palmieri from the New Jersey Devils at the trade deadline. In 17 regular season games with the Islanders, he struggled a bit, as he only scored two goals and recorded four points. However, he turned it on at the perfect time during the playoffs. In 19 games, the 30-year-old scored seven goals and recorded nine points.

With the loss of Jordan Eberle to the Seattle Kraken, it seemed like a real necessity for them to keep Palmieri. Now, they have to focus their efforts on signing their key RFAs.
